Think! Try! Dare to Defy! // Ezra Kennedy

It takes a special kind of people to change the world. You can’t, however, take the world in a new direction with old thoughts, ideas, and mindsets. The Age of Enlightenment Kant speaks of is not an
Where we are Enlightened beyond what was previously deemed Humanly unthinkable (well, it’s slightly true, but not the point) it’s an age where we dare to put aside the “training box” that the rest of the world has conditioned us to trust in, and dare to think outside of it. We’ve somehow been conditioned, or “trained”, to believe that new thoughts are dangerous even if we don’t realise that we have. Sometimes new thought can be dangerous, but more often than not it’s dangerous to the people of higher power who wish to keep that power for themselves.

Kant speaks of 3 reasons how mankind so easily can be herded into this mentality. One refers to the “Elite’s” possession and control of knowledge. They control what the general public is aware of in order to present a sense of security in Never Neverland. After all, if you can control someone’s Language (Knowledge) then you can control the conversations they have (what they believe). Sometimes it’s easier to obey and turn off your brain, because new ideas take you down new roads and roads that are new to you need to be thought about and thought through before you can take a turn. And Honestly, thinking hurts, right?? Thinking through scenarios, makes those scenarios all to real, and you feel the after effects all too well. It’s easier to remain in the square you’re comfortable  in than to venture into the home of the unknown— the Darkness. That’s another reason Kant acknowledges— the comfortability we love. We’re comfortable in our square because everything we’ve grown accustomed to is in there— our favourite succulent, bed and comforter, and our Vanilla Chai (or Propel Water). But staying in the Box means living in a comfortable mental prison with the door unlocked, yet closed “tightly”. And we’re also too Lazy (!!..... Kant’s words not mine, I just slightly resonate with it, haha) to get up and challenge that door to move, even though WE hold all of the power.

I mean, it is Easy to live in the box, it’s comfortable and nice and aesthetically pleasing from A-Z. But it’s more fun to challenge, Question, and Fight everything, whether it makes stings your brain or sparks your soul. You should Think for yourself and Try For yourself. Dare to Defy.
