Not Naive Katie Byars

I really enjoyed Tartuffe. It was very easier to read than some of the other books that we have had to read for honors. Being hard to read is not always a bad thing especially for an honors course. It was also very funny to read. the only complaint that might be lodged against it is that it cannot be properly enjoyed by reading it on its own it must be heard as a play. Moving on,  Deception is a theme that plays a major role in Tartuffe wherever it is Tartuffe deceiving Orgon or Elmire tricking Tartuffe into revealing himself to Orgon. Trust is a good thing to have in a friend and it is always good to have friends that you can rely on to fall back on in the hard times and in order to rely on others you first have to be the friend that you want to have, but you have to be careful. There will be the Tartuffes out there to take advantage of you. This was written for another reason but we can still learn from it for this purpose in this exaggerated tale. It will not be this obvious when it happens in real life or maybe even the consequences as serious but it will happen, just because we are called to help people does not mean we are called to give them free rein to hurt us.

I commented on Moriah`s and Rachael`s posts.
