Tabula Rasa?? False Babies? // Ezra Kennedy

When did we first start to think, analyse and “meditate”?? From what I understood from Locke it was when we first started to have sensory perception even when we didn’t realise it. As babies don’t really know.... anything, much less about whether they are thinking or not— they rest. It’s also debated whether or not babies are actually born with an innate knowledge inside of them, it just has to be “remembered”, or if their just born as blank slates/mouldable clay “Tabula Rasa”, or as Zane has once said “False Babies”.

Locke said something interesting, that was relatable but also infuriating. He said even when we don’t hear, feel, or intentionally do it we’re thinking. When we’re asleep we’re thinking/dreaming, even if we don’t realise it, but when we wake we have no memory of what concepts or images were used. Our soul is always thinking and going over information getting revelations from them, but doesn’t decide to clue us in at all. Then what actually is the point of the mind/soul dreaming or thinking without my permission??

I can only surmise that the point would be for it to “HINT” to us whenever we come across an instance where we would need information, but not give it to us. The purpose would I guess be to get us to analyse and think for ourselves and get us to think for ourselves, to trace the work that it had already done. Which honestly sucks, the wisdom and answers are already in us but we can’t access them. But it’s also good because it teaches us to work for the knowledge we want..

To conclude, babies are either incredibly knowledgeable and just have to remember, or their clean slates/false babies, and dreams are almost pointless because humans can barely read let alone dig into their subconscious.
