Howdy, fellas! We meet again!
On this wonderful Monday night, I found myself interested enough to talk about the presence of the three scariest fellows south of the dirt– Satan, Sin, and Death.
In book 10, the image of Sin and Death building a bridge from Hell to Earth is vividly painted as the two of them feeling a shift in their power and deciding to give the Devil himself an easy way home. They begin walking down the bridge and eventually meet Satan in what appears to be in better shape than that of a deceitful serpent.
Now, hang with me, as I do not know what kind of shows or movies you all have seen about cartels, mafias, or anything remotely on the other side of the illegal line, but I have probably seen too many to admit...
When they all met and discussed their new roles as powerful forces of destruction on Earth, I can't help but imagine them all holding some clear glasses filled with brown liquid, all with smirks on their faces, and all of them wearing really nice suits.
It's silly, I'm aware, but it made it silly enough for me to understand that their intentions were anything but pure in this particular passage. Satan most likely knew that the Earth was his to deceitfully rule and demoralize. As for the other two, well, like any partnership, there are always subordinates, and they were going to be "working for the Devil".
Call me a stickler, but here's another song for any of you that choose to listen:
