WOAH Y'ALL I ALMOST FORGOT TO DO THIS!!!
Since I remembered, however......
I just wanted to start out by saying that I am not the world's best student. I forget to turn things in, I wait until the last possible second to do my stuff, I don't always study when I should, and do all the other typical college kids do in order to pass the class.
I am in no way, however, undermining how valuable and important a good education is for every single person. MW shows how important education is to her and her beliefs, and in my opinion she is in no way incorrect.
Girls back before we had the rights and freedoms we have today were destined to be ordinary housewives and mothers. Nothing else. They did not receive the same education as men because of how they told they were to live their lives when they grew up. It all starts with children. School is where they learn to be human beings and decide on what they are going to do when they get older, and a long time ago only boys really got a decent education. Boys were trained for jobs and they were told that they are in control over everything, including their future families. I want to point out that MW completely flips that thought process around. She tells her readers that everyone should receive the same education because a child should be able to be whatever he/she wants to be when they grow up. I personally would love to thank Mary, because without her I would not have gotten the education I have gotten, and to now be a college athlete, double majoring, AND in the honors program.
also friendly PSA: I will give someone my comments handwritten tomorrow because I can't post them online. It has me signed into my grandfathers google account and won't let me sign into mine to post a comment...weird, right?
