A question that Dr. Mashburn brought up the other day was that “If the world is not infinite, what makes you think God is infinite?” My first thought was simply faith. God is not tangible, meaning we can not physically see or touch him, but we can see His works through people and situations. In order to do this though, we must have faith. Faith is what connects us to God because without it we can not truly believe in him. So yes, our world is not infinite, but with faith we can believe that we have an amazing God who allows us to see His great works everyday. The same question was asked but one word was changed and that was instead of infinite, perfect was placed there. The same applies here. We are not anywhere near to perfect, but there has to be something or someone who is perfect controlling us down here. That is where God comes into play. He is our perfect something. If this world were left in our hands it would not take very long for us to destroy every last inch of it. That is why we are not in control, but our infinite and perfect God is, but each individual must believe it for themselves.
