Wollstonecraft says that "Rousseau became enamored of solitude and, being at the same time an optimist, he labors with uncommon eloquence to prove that man was naturally a solitary animal." Wollstonecraft goes on to say that Rousseau celebrates barbarism and wants to become more naturalistic, She says that God gave us knowledge to improve our lives. Now that the background part is over let me start by sating this solitude is not a bad thing as well as going back to our roots of nature is not a bad thing. I for one really enjoy it. I am an introvert and dislike handling big crowds for long. However, unfortunately, God did not make us enjoy a life of solitude. We have to learn how to interact with the messiness that is people. In history, there have been several times when Christians have tried to start their own communities of like-minded people. This is not what God has called us to do. He has called us to Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”As it is said somewhere "no man is an island" As Christians, this means we are called to move past the basic I`m fine that we give when people ask how we are doing and be honest because if we are not then how can we expect them to be?
