Can't we all just agree?... At least a little bit - Jacob Clabo

Honestly, I don't understand how people can just think they can solely obtain their faith and salvation through the ideas, beliefs, and relationships of others. People then and now can still be so dependent on others, and it is so upsetting that some people view their connection with Christ as a checklist instead of a relationship. No wonder people outside of and dissociated with Christianity have such awful and unfortunate views. I mean, how are we supposed to be able to teach the world about Christ when we are so busy arguing with other branches of religion about whats "right." It's so upsetting to hear about and most especially see "Christian" people and churches that are more cruel to their own fellow Christians than a complete stranger. I completely agree with the passage that, yes, Christians and churches need to hold other Christians accountable and hold them to certain standards, but not to the point where it becomes abrasive and dehumanizing. Did anyone else have similar thoughts to mine about this passage?

P.S. I commented on Luke Killam's and Cade Wood's posts.

The first thing I thought when I read this post was Kanye West. When you mentioned the part about Christians judging other Christians I could not help but think about the controversy over whether he actually accepted Christ or not. Does it matter? It is not our place to judge that, what matters is that there are thousands of people out there hearing about the glory of God through his new album and googling what it means.

I immediately read the title of your blog post and sung in my head the tune to "Why can't we be friends?". I love that you wrote on something similar to what I talked about, and that's this whole idea of toleration. Toleration is way different from judgment. It's okay to be passionate about Jesus, but don't get passionate against others who believe in the same Jesus. We need to drop our differences and get on with what's really important Loving one another.

Dude yes! Especially when you said that it isn't a checklist, but a relationship. It isn't our effort, it was God's.. When we make it about our own effort, that's when we start to tower over one another

I agree. In the end, only God will ever know if anyone is ever right or wrong or truly a Christian or not. The small fights between denominations over small points of the faith are pointless and if we just came together as Christians to we would help a lot more people and reach a lot more of the lost people of the world.
