Pascal blew my mind when he was talking about fully knowing
and never knowing; extremes and our inability to perceive or experience them.
While it is true that we will never fully understand most of the things on this
earth, we can know one thing and that is the fact that God fully knows everything
and we can trust in that.
I enjoyed reading the part on page 439 when he was talking
about man being a reed and how we are so feeble but even if we were to be
crushed by the universe we would still be more noble because we would know that
we were dying. It was an interesting thought when he said that all of our
dignity consists in thought. And I am wondering how you guys feel about this? Do
you agree?
