Judgement - Addison Zanda

"If we are too young, our judgement is impaired, just as it is if we are too old. Thinking too little about things or too much both makes us obstinate and fanatical."

Confusing at points, but a true point is unfolded within this one quote... (to me at least). From a child's age, we're taught morals and standards of certain assets mostly made up of manners, talking, and education. At that age, most children have no clue what happens in the everyday world ranging from good and bad. Being of an old age, most adults were raised in a harsher way for the better sometimes. Their views remain in tact because their morals at that time told them so, simple as that. In reality, our mind's all work in different functions. From political views to Christian worldview to your lifestyle view, everyone remains in their state due to the culture they've been raised within or chose to move on and be apart of a different style. We never know how one thinks or may grown up and yet, we're always so quick to act on and judge for what they see. In today's time, especially at the late teenage year - beginning twenties, our judgment within others always seems to satisfy ourselves because most of the time that judgment fills us with delight.. sad right? It's sad because no one person is perfect. Judging someone else is always easier than judging our own actions. During Jesus' Sermon on the Mount, he had a small advice that went, "Why worry about a speck in your friend's eye when you have one in yours? How can you think of saying to you friend, 'Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,' when you can't see past the log in your own eye?" (Matthew 7:3-5). Why be tempted to have a judgment when your mind is already impaired, no matter your age?

I really appreciate your point about judging others. Nobody knows another person's story, not completely. Even if your best friend tells you "everything" about their life, you still won't know everything. The inner workings of the mind and heart are extremely complex; don't pretend that you understand it. (This is a reminder to everyone, including myself)

This is fantastic. Judgment is something we jump to so quickly. It is a sad reality because as christians, knowing how messed up we are and what God has done for us, judgment is the last thing we should give to people. Such a great reminder for us all! Great Blog Addison!
