The Rape of the Lock was, interesting; to me at least. The extreme portrayal and the imagery all serve to make the story seem utterly ridiculous. The very minor incident that gets described in a format typically reserved for epic battles between gods serves to exaggerate the entire incident, almost to the point of absurdity. I understand that Pope intentionally wrote this to be satire, but I think he overdid it a little. I mean, stories like Beowulf and The Odyssey deserve to be written like this, not a story of a woman getting a bit of her hair cut off. Like we get it, you feel violated- but it'll grow back. It's not that big a deal.
Also, what's the deal with the Baron? That dude takes creepy to a whole new level.
