"We have now built a church," said Mr. Kiaga, "and we want you all to come in every seventh day to worship the true God."

"That week they won a handful more converters."

The missionaries had been preaching for quite sometime now and have requested land for a church. Little do they know the land happened to be in a "sinister" forest. They had ambition, a goal to spread the word of God through the village and the elders had strong disbelief about their opportunities to grow. The elders didn't realize that God's timing isn't instant, we have to wait for it. Habakkuk 1:3 says, "Must I forever see these evil deeds? Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight." Often evil has the upper hand in the world. Christians often feel angry and discouraged from what they observe. Not the missionaries. They continued to have their church and converted people! Trusting God fully means trusting him even when we don't understand why events occur. Being patient isn't easy, but not rushing God's timing allows more room for maturity and growth. The missionaries never rushed people into the church, they came as they pleased and were converted from allowing the true God into their hearts.
